Our Heritage – how it all began in the USA
Paul Fleming, the founder of New Tribes Mission (NTM), made the following statement in the early years of NTM's history:
"Heartaches, disappointments and discouragements characterized the beginning of the New Tribes Mission. But His presence overshadowed every trial, and through His strength we continued to look forward. We were a group of young people with nothing but faith in God. We built all our hopes on one fact: God wanted to reach a world and was looking for people through whom He could do that task. We decided to be those people, empowered only by the miracle-working power of the Holy Spirit."
Since the founding of New Tribes Mission in 1942, the vision of "reaching people without access to the Gospel" has remained unchanged. Paul Fleming and five other men had no funds or organizations behind them when they dared to trust in God and found NTM. "It seemed like God was pushing us into something, so we were sure that no man was starting NTM. The Lord used us to bring NTM into existence," Paul wrote.
Today at ETHNOS360 we want to continue to trust God and glorify Him through this work.

»We thank God for the rich heritage passed on to us by a small group of people who were determined to extend their efforts where the Gospel was not yet preached.«
