FAQ

How are Ethnos360 staff supported?

Our staff are not paid by Ethnos360. They trust in the Lord that He will provide for them financially. They are supported by their sending churches, family, friends or other churches.

How much support does an staff need?

At Ethnos360, everyone, married or single, is a full-time staff. Depending on the country and assignment, the expenses incurred vary. After asking for the recommended amount in the respective country of assignment, a monthly salary is determined by the staff member, the community and Ethnos360, which is then covered by donations earmarked for the staff member in question.

How much of the money really gets to where it is donated?

Every donation is used in full for the respective purpose, employee or project.

Are all donations tax-deductible?

All donations that support our staff or individual projects are tax-deductible. Ethnos360's accounting department has a complete overview of all incoming donations. Personal gifts, e.g. for birthdays, are not tax-deductible and are passed on to the respective staff.

When is the money transferred to the staff?

The money donated is credited to the employee's account. The donor receives a donation receipt once a year. Staff receive their salary in the middle of the month.

What do the staff at the head office in Germany live on?

Our employees at the head office are regarded as full-time employees in the same way as an satff abroad. This means that the employee in Germany must also have a community and/or a circle of friends that supports them financially.

How is the support work of Ethnos360 in Germany financed?

Only earmarked donations - "for Ethnos360" or "general donations" - are also used for the running costs of the work in Germany.

Legislation

Ethnos360 e.V. gives an account of the financial situation of the charitable organization, which is documented by the annual presentation of the balance sheet. For this purpose, an independent tax consultant is commissioned to review both the financial situation of Ethnos360 e.V. in general and the ongoing financial movements.

Guidelines

We are dependent on God for all our needs. We recognize that without His provision, we cannot accomplish His mission alone or corporately.

Nevertheless, we share our needs with coworkers, supporters and interested parties so that together we can trust in God and experience God answering prayer

Because we know that God will provide everything we need in His time and in His way, this should also be visible in our satisfaction.

We believe that information about our needs should always be accurate so that supporters know and understand what they can give for and when.

We believe that we should avoid commitments of any kind that go against the principles, values and policies of Ethnos360.

We recognize our responsibility to be good stewards and to manage our finances and everything entrusted to us well. This includes good planning and wise use of the resources given to us.

We believe that it is good not to be in debt. However, there are sometimes times when this cannot be avoided, especially when a major project is on the horizon. All debts should be such that there is no tension with the budget of Ethnos360 or other individuals. Debts should be settled as soon as possible.

Our focus should be on good relationships with those around us to whom we want to share what God is doing through Ethnos360. We do not want to go to people to ask for money.
