The trip to Brazil was a very special kind of eye-opener and heart-opener for me. Simply getting out of our "feel-good-everything-goes-as-planned" bubble and thinking outside the box - I wouldn't want to miss this experience. Meeting people live who have never heard of God moves you more deeply and speaks to you so much more urgently. I have gained an awareness of the topic of mission with a heart for the unreached.

Even though it was only 21 days, this trip has shaped me and I am so grateful to God for it. My view of mission has changed. I realized that mission can and must be part of my life as a Christian. It is not done with a one-hour evangelization time a week. It is a consequence of being a born-again person through Jesus Christ. I kept thinking of a sentence that someone once said: "God doesn't want your ability, He wants your availability."

Where your security ends, God can work without restriction. I can say from my own experience that such a journey is very transformative, and if you allow it, God may even turn your life plan completely upside down. I could write so much about why you should go on this mission trip, but let yourself be surprised. Just go with an open heart and then God will do great and unforgettable things in your life.
