Bible translations - passing on blessings

A lot has to be done before a translated Bible book or even the entire New Testament can be printed. In the work of Ethnos360, we calculate that a Bible translation costs an average of €200,000 from start to print and takes 15 years. Of course, this depends on how many missionaries are working on it, how difficult the language is, how willing the locals are to cooperate, how many unforeseen interruptions there are...

Some translations are nearing completion. Six of these are in Papua New Guinea (PNG), two in Venezuela and two in Mexico. In recent years, the Yembiyembi and the Siawi, among others, have been ceremonially given New Testaments in their language.

The literacy material, the translation of the Bible and the Bible lessons into a previously unwritten language represent the entire package that a church needs to be able to teach its own people and also reach others.
