Learning helper

As a learning assistant, you will support a missionary family by teaching or accompanying their child(ren) in school lessons. This allows both parents to concentrate fully on their tasks of Bible translation, church planting, etc. You will experience first-hand how church planting happens and what challenges a missionary family has to live with.

Main task:

• Supporting the schooling of missionary children in a remote location
• Preparation of lessons (mainly the material of the German correspondence school is used, where the lessons are already worked out and given).
• Supervision and help with the tasks
• Follow-up of the work done
• Friend and role model for the children
• Preparation of the lessons with the material from the German correspondence school and/or the ILS (Institute for Learning Systems)
• Possibly spiritual input for the missionary children (youth group, teen circle)

Other tasks:

• Help with other household or ministry tasks

Accommodation:

• Usually in the family home or in a neighbor's house
• Isolated life among the locals (foreign language) - sometimes without internet and very simple
